Aegis Security Training Lab
A safe cybersecurity training dashboard concept for authorized labs—emphasizing scope, findings triage, and remediation tracking.
- TypeScript
- Secure UI patterns
- Findings workflow model
Overview
Aegis Lab is an educational/authorized-testing workspace concept. It is not a scanner and does not imply real vulnerability results.
Problem / Design Challenge
Security UIs can accidentally look like they report live production risk. The challenge was to design triage workflows while staying explicitly non-operational.
Proposed Solution & Architecture
The concept centers scope banners, severity labels as UI taxonomy only, and remediation checklists for training scenarios inside authorized environments.
Assumptions (conceptual work)
- Any real assessment would require written authorization and agreed scope
Key Features
- Scope and authorization reminder banner
- Findings board with severity taxonomy (illustrative)
- Remediation checklist panel
- Retest notes area for lab exercises
Engineering Decisions & Trade-offs
- No automated scanning or network probing in this portfolio piece
- All sample findings are fictional training content
- CTA routes to authorized cybersecurity inquiry only
Testing & Verification Notes
No hosts were scanned and no vulnerabilities were validated for this entry. Sample findings are illustrative placeholders for UI design only.
Lessons Learned
- Security products must over-communicate authorization boundaries
- Training UIs should never be mistaken for live attack tooling
Next Steps
- Connect only to authorized lab targets when a real engagement exists
- Add evidence upload flows after secure storage is confirmed
