Privacy Policy

Effective date: 19 October 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how SmokyCoders (“we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information in connection with https://smokycoders.com and related services. It is written to be clear and accurate to our current practices—not to overclaim systems we have not deployed.

1. Who we are

SmokyCoders is operated by Prabhat Kumar, Founder & Creator, SmokyCoders. We provide web development, authorized cybersecurity services, AI automation, developer tools, technical publishing, and related digital offerings.

Privacy questions: use our Contact page (or the contact email published on that page when configured).

2. Scope

This Policy applies to:

  • Visitors to smokycoders.com and its pages
  • People who submit project inquiries or other forms on the site
  • Users of our free browser-based developer utilities
  • Readers of the SmokyCoders Tech Journal and related content

Separate written agreements (for example a statement of work) may include additional confidentiality terms for client engagements. Where those terms conflict with this Policy for a specific engagement, the signed agreement controls for that engagement.

3. Information we collect

Information you provide. When you submit an inquiry, you may provide your name, email address, selected service interest, optional budget range, project details, and consent acknowledgements. We use this information to respond to your request.

Technical information. Like most websites, our hosting environment may automatically process standard server or edge logs (such as IP address, user agent, timestamps, and requested URLs) for security, reliability, and abuse prevention. We do not currently operate a first-party analytics dashboard that profiles individual browsing behavior on this site.

Developer tools input. Utilities in the Developer Lab are designed to process text locally in your browser where feasible. Tool input is not uploaded to SmokyCoders servers for those local tools. If a future tool requires server processing, we will disclose that on the tool page before you submit data.

Payment and account data. We do not currently operate a public checkout or user account system on this website. If that changes, this Policy will be updated before collection begins.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

We may use essential cookies or similar storage required for basic site operation (for example security or load-balancing cookies set by our hosting provider). We do not currently run marketing pixels or advertising cookies on smokycoders.com.

If we introduce non-essential analytics or advertising technologies, we will update this Policy and, where required, provide appropriate notice and choice.

5. How we use information

We use personal information to:

  • Respond to inquiries and discuss potential engagements
  • Operate, secure, and improve the website
  • Prevent fraud, spam, and abuse
  • Comply with legal obligations
  • Communicate about services you request (we do not run an email newsletter on this site unless a consent-aware subscription workflow is explicitly enabled)

6. How we share information

We do not sell personal information.

We may share information with:

  • Service providers who help us host the site, deliver email, or provide security and infrastructure—under obligations to protect the data
  • Professional advisors (such as legal or accounting) when reasonably necessary
  • Authorities when required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security

If you contact us by email via a mailto handoff from the inquiry form, your message is transmitted through your email provider and ours according to those providers’ practices.

7. Retention

We retain inquiry and correspondence information for as long as needed to handle your request, maintain business records, resolve disputes, and meet legal or security requirements. Hosting logs are retained according to our provider’s defaults and our operational needs, then deleted or anonymized when no longer required.

8. Security

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to a professional website (including HTTPS and access controls on systems we operate). No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. Please avoid sending passwords, payment card numbers, or highly sensitive secrets through general inquiry forms.

9. International processing

Our hosting and communication providers may process data in multiple countries. Where we transfer personal information, we take steps designed to ensure an appropriate level of protection consistent with applicable law and our provider agreements.

10. Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain personal information, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, contact us via the Contact page. We may need to verify your request before acting on it.

You can also choose not to submit optional form fields, and you can control cookies through your browser settings for non-essential technologies if they are introduced later.

11. Children

The site is directed to professionals and businesses. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

12. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the site after an update means you acknowledge the revised Policy. Material changes will be highlighted on this page when practical.

13. Contact

For privacy requests or questions about this Policy, contact SmokyCoders through smokycoders.com/contact.

This Policy describes our practices in plain language. It is not legal advice. If you need advice for your own compliance obligations, consult a qualified professional.
